ABOUT   Services Excellence Summary

All ages are welcome in The Eliot School's woodworking and sewing, yarn, fiber arts, and book arts classes. Drawing and painting instruction is also available. Thousands from Boston and beyond take part each year. Teaching artists and artisans serve public schools and community centers throughout Boston. Jamaica Plain welcomes students of any age, from 2-year-old children to centenarians. Teen Bridge supports talented young artists in a small group. Our Artist in Residence supports Boston-based artists. Our talks by artists, family events, and faculty exhibitions ensure we have a holistic approach to learning. Our entire mission focuses on our founding beliefs: we want to provide a welcoming environment where all ages and economic backgrounds can come together to develop skills and craft. The programs were designed to meet basic human needs to make, express, and learn by doing. Our vision is grounded in our history as a pioneer in K-12 fine and applied arts education.
