Client Testimonials: 1. Unfortunately, I can’t speak to Di Girolamo’s ability as attorneys, but I can tell you about my dealings with them as a landlord. I rented a parking space from them on a month-to-month basis at one of their properties in Somerville. After being a few days late on a single payment— and I didn’t get an email or anything from their system that my auto-pay had been canceled—I was charged a hefty late fee. Late fees were not included anywhere in our lease agreement. When asked for a lease justification, they could not identify any lease provision authorizing the fee. It did not matter, as they then began charging not only the late fee in question, but several months of rent and more late fees in the subsequent month even after I moved and explicitly requested that my account be closed. After multiple attempts to resolve this issue, I have still not received any kind of clear explanation of how those charges are authorized under our lease. On the basis of my experience, which suggests that they will charge fees regardless of the terms they have agreed to, I would absolutely not recommend working with these folks.2.
