About Baltimore Clayworks Baltimore Clayworks is a neighborhood in Baltimore, Maryland, and a community-centered clay works institution based in Mt. Washington, Maryland. The organization was established in 1980 by nine artists who envisioned a community art center. In 1984, it was granted 501(c)3 non-profit status. Our focus on the city is what sets us apart from other organizations. We are widely known both nationally and internationally for our artistic excellence and artist support. Baltimore Clayworks Mission The Baltimore Clayworks mission is to build, maintain, and promote an artist-centered community that provides exceptional education, artistic, and collaborative ceramic arts programming. Baltimore Clayworks' core values include artist-centeredness, excellence, inclusiveness, joy, and integrity, to name a few. Principles The company is called "Baltimore Clayworks: Artist-Centered" as it believes in making and appreciating art is essential to human spirit; this is integral to our distinctive community. "Inclusive" is also part of its name because the company focuses on equity and inclusion in all endeavors. It offers services to professional artists, new students, and collectors from various cultural, economic, and racial backgrounds. We strive to gain capacity in art and management to help us develop and be more respected by our colleagues and specialists. Clayworks Community Center reviews show a strong nod to it being a top-rated summer program for kids and adults. Many raved that its variety of level-appropriate classes helps them learn a lot in short amounts of time. On top of that, the staff was given thumbs up for their friendliness. Actual clients were ecstatic about the instructors and impressed by the facility's cleanliness and commitment to safety, especially during the pandemic.
