ABOUT   Services Excellence Summary

We are Bird in Hand, and for over five years, we have been serving the best of Charles Village in Baltimore to its residents. Relax in our cozy nook with a good book (we have hundreds) and enjoy delicious coffee or food from local suppliers. Partake in the cherished Baltimore tradition of enjoying a meal outdoors in our beautiful parklet. Experience the steps of Baltimore women in our bathroom-turned-museum, or watch life pass by on the busy corner. Our community is full of great people and fun things to do. Our coffee is roasted by Thread Coffee Roasters, a Baltimore, MD-based worker-owned queer and trans coffee roaster. Overlooking the harbor in Baltimore, Maryland's Fells Point neighborhood, The Daily Grind in Baltimore is steps from your door. The 18th-century brick buildings lining the cobblestone streets have been preserved, creating Fells Point's colonial charm, while its fashionable salons, fashionable restaurants, and wharf bars give homage to its modern. Come see us and experience the culture that is Baltimore. The Daily Grind is frequented by everyone in Fells Point, from residents and students to local artists and business professionals. The Daily Grind is a neighborhood hub where people connect and get their day started with a coffee and breakfast sandwich. While the cafe is currently closed to the public, allowing customers to order online and pick up orders at the front of the cafe, we hope you discover our community and culture.

SUMMARY   Reviews Summary

Bird in Hand cafe reviews range from nice little brunch spot to the best café on campus. Customers mention a Cute coffee shop and bookstore with small amusements, but what stands out is James, the beloved barista at Bird, who makes every visit a treat. Lots of seating - but not quite enough at times. Visitors from out of state cite the unique charm of Bird in Hand, especially liking the all-day-breakfast and local food and drinks. Ham, egg, and cheese on the breakfast menu are filling and delicious, though stronger coffee and brewed tea could be a good addition. Seating changes during peak hourse of the day also a good idea. Overall, the feelgood vibes of a good café hit this place hard. Support local businesses and our community.
