Carl A. Nielbock found the company. Born in Celle in 1953, he was trained in formal metalworking by a master blacksmith. His early interest in the decoration and complexity of European architecture led him to study, and later perfect, his techniques. In 1984, Nielbock moved to Detroit and opened a metalworking shop on the city's east side. The business has grown since then and Nielbock still works to fulfill the dream of preserving cultural heritage and fine art. Check out the exciting Gallery of Metals Virtual Museum experience.
