Detroit Windsor Dance Academy

The multi-talented Detroit Windsor Dance Academy, a spirit-driven company, has captivated all ages with artistry, emotional eloquence, grace, and power. DWDA (501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization) has been educating dancers in Detroit’s New Center for 39 years. DWDA prepares students aged 2-90 in categories from dance and ministry. DWDA performs across the world. Our Detroit troupe has wowed audiences on all five continents over the years. We have traveled from Capetown to Sydney, New York to California, and our International Sister City, Detroit. Our Dancer I.Q. program stresses dance excellence and teaches dance vocabulary, anatomy, alignment, and history. DWDA holds that achieving strength in mind, body, and spirit is essential to dancer education. Dancers acquire technique, strength, grace, flexibility, and style. DWDA performers' grace is the outcome of strength, flexibility, and concentration combined with breath control and emotion.
