With small classes, expert instruction, and individual attention, Siba provides the perfect atmosphere for you to think about higher education. Siba's financial aid makes us available to all students, and we've worked hard to build a community since 1947. As Stevens – The Institute of Business & Arts, our history dates back to Patricia Stevens opening a modeling and finishing school for women in 1947. We have been in St. Louis since then. Still, we moved to our present campus on Washington Avenue in 2010, where we can be closer to the historical garment district. Our college has evolved over the years. We became coeducational in the 1980s and added bachelor's degrees to our programs in 2008. Our most popular programs, Fashion Development & Merchandising and Business, have changed names and been updated according to technological and market changes. Graphic Design, our most recent addition (2016), is also constantly re-evaluated to remain relevant to the job market. Stevens – The Institute of Business & Arts is simply our latest name. Our first permanent campus is located at 1521 Washington Avenue. This 25,000-square-foot renovation cost $3 million and was designed specifically for small classes and our program requirements. It was built for George E Keefe's shoe factory in 1917 and is in St. Louis's Garment District, known for many years.
Reviews Summary
The enthusiastic reviews praised Southern Illinois School of Business and Arts (SIBA) the best school they have attended and said it is more than just an academic institution, but it feels like it is a family establishment that will help you to achieve maximum potential and offer guidance until you secure success. SIBA's lecturers are expert and currently work in the field they are teaching, ensuring the curriculum is contemporary and engaging. The school's innovative “fast track” bachelor's programs take less time to complete determine that students with different backgrounds generate the field to be successful early. The school is a great attraction to older students who have had already enrolled in other universities and need to upgrade their knowledge and skills. Most importantly, the support and positive experiences they had. Some students specify that they turned their academic struggles into success. Others mention that they kept expressing their experiences after graduating and seeing the benefits of the steps they took. SIBA's enterprising programs and premises are also among the reasons students appreciate the place. The mix of ages, educational backgrounds and goals but aimed at a brighter educational environment make SIBA an exceptional institution. And SIBA has not forgotten the improvement and development of their course materials, but academic program review and change is done on time. With the help of the family and teaching, caring hand, the institution grows. Most reviewers recommended SIBA to future students, showing how diverse and strong the institution has been.
