Summary of Artistic Career This brief account of my journey as an artist is all about the individuals who have significantly impacted me and how I have managed to be a full-time artist. 1985 Began career after graduating from Wake Forest University with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art. Until 2001, I had various job positions including technical illustration, print, computer graphics, and multi-media programming. 2002 Started doing charcoal portraits and also experimented with using soft pastels. I acquired a book by Harley Brown referred to as "Eternal Truths for Artists," which affected my course in art. I bought a lot of pastels and bought Kevin Beck, who at that time was offering pastel workshops. Every day I painted or sketched. My course in art changed after reading Wolf Kahn's materials. I began signing my name in Wolf Kahn style, and this made me love it even more. 2003 With two 5-day workshops from Albert Handell, I spent March and November of this year painting or sketching daily.
