About this business

Established in 1969, McLeod Addictive Disease Center is a Charlotte non-profit that offers adult behavioral health programs. On average, we treat 3,900 people daily diagnosed with substance abuse disorder. In response, we have nine treatment facilities in Piedmont and Western North Carolina. Patients undergo assessments and testing. Our goal is to focus on treating the individual, not the illness. Medication-assisted therapy (MAT) is categorized by SAMHSA. MAT combines FDA-approved medications with behavior and counseling therapy. MAT is a clinically sound, holistic, whole-patient method to address substance use disorders. The program aims to decrease or avoid opioid overdose by changing brain chemistry. It does this by blocking the drugs' euphoria and reducing physical cravings. We recommend that patients pursue MAT for at least one year and follow a structured treatment plan. Patients get an individual treatment strategy, including urine sample testing and referrals.

Reviews Summary

The majority of guest McLeod's drug and alcohol recovery reviews accentuate the client assistance's importance and the unique staff's qualifications. Numerous reviews also indicate that the facility influenced their lives positively, and many clients blog about how McLeod saved their life. There is an overall sense of professionalism and caring from guests. Almost all names reported that the company offers a variety of different services and facilities. They will only treat addiction, and guests claim that they merely require the wanderer and dedicated client. However, there are a few deficiencies in these assessments. For example, some customers say that the family-friendly street time is too long. Nonetheless, McLeod is considered highly beneficial by the vast majority of respondents.
