In 1993, a college student Cara went with her friends to the Long Beach salon for a haircut. After the cut, she had a crush on her haircut lady's friend named Jason. They wedded three years later and got their second child in 2001 (Salon 42 Charlotte, n.d.). They were traveling from California to Charlotte to make a life for their family. Jason was a senior stylist in a posh salon, and Cara developed a lucrative business after child two. The history of Salon 42 began in 2008. The first salon we created was our Dilworth retro-chic boutique, which opened in 2008. In 2010, our quaint, sophisticated Lake Norman place was opened. Finally, in 2012, our beautiful and elegant Southpark salon was opened.
