Higgins Law Customer Feedback Summary 1. Matt and his team are amazing 2. Matt and his team are amazing 3. Matt failed my daughter and I. I failed my daughter by hiring Matt. He fluffed me on how great of a father I was at every visit. I was a great father. I am still a great father, but you wouldn’t know it if you’d gone to any of the hearings. My temp custody hearing took place in Judges Chambers with Matt, opposing counsel Ben Belmont and Judge Tressa Alioth. Matt came out of that meeting and told me, “I got you a great deal. It’s almost 50/50. You’ll get two weekends and she’ll get two weekends. That’s Friday, Saturday, Sunday. You’ll get one day during the week and she’ll get three. After 30 days, we’ll come back and review how things are going and get you that extra day during the week, making it truly 50/50.” We left that day and after a couple of weeks, I realized I was only getting 8 overnights a month with my daughter. Nowhere close to what he’d told me in that courtroom. We’d be months in between hearings and I’d get a massive bill. I asked for an explanation and I’d get a log of all of this back and forth between he and the other attorney. At one point, I told him to stop issuing all of the subpoenas for information that was supposed to of been given voluntarily in my exes discovery and interrogatories. I was told, “It’s not like you can’t afford it. You have a good paying job.” Matt had all of the info on how much equity I had in my home, my 401k, my pension, etc. When I was shopping for a new attorney, I found out that Matt and the other attorney, Ben Belmont had signed a document stating that my ex and I had attended mediation and that we couldn’t come to terms. We NEVER attended mediation. My case should’ve gone to conciliation court and instead it was kept in the family court where tens of thousands of dollars of the equity in my home was extracted to pay for frivolous legal fees. You’d be better off representing yourself than paying for Matt to decorate his office with more of his paintings. Matt screwed me. Don’t let it happen to you. 4. Matt failed my daughter and I. Going into my case I was a reck but they made this process as easy and fast as we could while being efficient. Will recommend to absolutely everyone who would be in need of their services. There is a Representative by the name of Courtney Webster that works here & she uses Higgins law database for her own personal games. She looks up information on people who is not a client at this firm. From my experience, I wouldn't feel comfortable or safe, Using this law firm, knowing my information is not safe. 14. Matt and his amazing staff are the best in the business!! Highly recommend for anyone that needs a lawyer for custody or just want to work with a lawyer that acts and treats you with the highest respect, always keeping you and your family before all else!!!! I cannot thank Matt and all of his team for all there help and guidance. Matt and his team work for every penny they charge and do not disappoint.
