Central Jersey Legal Services, Inc. is a nonprofit law firm. We offer FREE civil legal assistance to low-income residents. Our office serves Mercer County, Middlesex County, and the Union County. CJLS defends your health, family, and home. We think that low-income individuals deserve the same quality legal representation as those with money. You meet our income restriction, and you are a Mercer, Middlesex, or Union County resident to qualify. CJLS deals with civil matters. We do not handle any criminal matters. We also do not assist in cases that need attorney fees such as negligence or vehicle accident cases. The CJLS intake worker in your county will decide if you qualify and if we can help with your issue. Legal help with divorce, child support, and custody, as well as guardianship and parental rights.
