ABOUT   Services Excellence Summary

Leos and tights will be required for most classes. Reflections Dance Center has all you need to start, with classes in Ballet, Broadway Bound Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop Jazz, Lyrical, and Tumbling. Our studio has been in the Valley for more than 30 years under the leadership of Rachel Roberts, who established the school. A dance style that employs specific, formal steps and gestures set to music. All dance styles, whether modern, jazz, or other types, are rooted in ballet. Our professional and college preparatory programs take our dancers to a new level of artistry and performance that goes beyond their regular lesson work. Students will also receive intense preparation, allowing them to compete at a higher level in local and national competitions, which are even mandatory in order to qualify as a college major or minor in dance. Our aim is to help young individuals realise their dreams of becoming a professional dancer, dancer educator, theatre artist, or artist.

SUMMARY   Reviews Summary

The dance studio reviews were mostly positive. Students praised its family-like atmosphere and supportive teachers. Many parents, like the studio's positive ambiance for their children. They noted the camaraderie their kids shared with their peers and appreciated the individual attention they received from their instructors. A lot of reviews singled out the studio director as being particularly nice and brought out her passion for teaching. The studio's artistic programs perfected many of the students. It was a good place for anyone in ballet and tumbling. All in all, the examination was prolific, except for one disgruntled dancer. Her case came off as personal issues disguised in a review, and it was clear that many of the issues were personal and not the studio. She felt cheated out of her placements and maintained that it was unfair. Her transparency with the management ultimately led to her suspension. This issue was down to her, not the studio. The interaction was mostly whimsical for the past 5 years.

Small dance studio where you feel like a part of a family. I've read one review where the dancer complained about the studio and losing friends. This dancer was angry because SHE didn't place at competitions. She was suspended from the studio for unprofessionalism by both her and her mother. She was jealous that other dancers placed higher than her which was due to her just doing the bare minimum and not pushing herself in difficulty. She lost her friends at the studio due to her and her mother's antics at competitions where she and her mother felt she deserved to place higher when other dancers were clearly better. She should have taken her hateful review to the competition judges instead of being petty toward the studio.
Toxic studio. I used to be a dancer here for 3 about to be 4 years. This studio was very welcoming at first, but it was obvious there was favoritism to dancers that have been there since a younger age. I loved it, but the beggining of this season started off rough with tons of drama. I was constantly being singled out, talked about by the TEACHERS, and always put at blame for any drama that had nothing to do with me. In december, an instucter was be littling me saying careless things about my character because of a hairpiece. My parents brought the situation to light after class, and the owner denied everything and said it was my fault for "misinterpreting the teacher". We were given the option to leave because the owner was "at a loss" at how to help rectify the situation. Fast foward to competitions. At rehersals dancers were yelled at for not taking the rehersal seriously and "not looking happy enough". When we were given a correction more than once, immediately yelled at. Dancers are constantly being yelled at for small mistakes, talking, or not acting like other studios. Dancers have also been put at fault for not winning due to "laziness" and "slacking off". Dancers have come to me to express their feeling because we were very close. As a result of this, I was not allowed to talk during breaks in class and was constantly being separated from everyone else. Meanwhile, the dancers that had been at the studio longer were allowed to hit each other, talk, and be disrespectful without any conseqences. This studio is extremely unprofessional. I greatly feel bad for the dancers that have experienced the same as me. One of the instructers even told me to eat more because I was "too skinny". Body shaming should not be tolerated in a dance studio esspecially when they highly advise to keep everything positive. If your child wants to be on a dance competition team, please direct them otherwise. DO NOT let the cheap rates fool you. To add, this studio completly ruined my contact with any of my friends or the people I was close too. I almost feel like i was shunned away slowly. The teachers constantly wanting me gone really hurt me. I felt as if I was unwanted and unapreciated. Because of this horrible experience, I have moved on to a new studio that does not disrespect children. I love my new studio, and I shouldve left Reflections Dance Center years ago.
