ABOUT   Services Excellence Summary

We have Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists who enjoy working with preteens (10-12), teens, women, men, couples, and families. We maintain a private practice in Reno, Nevada. We are native Nevadans, raised in Reno and Carson City. We completed our BS degrees at the University of Nevada Reno which is where we met, and we have raised our family here in the Reno/Sparks community. We returned to school for MS degrees in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy at the University of Phoenix (Reno campus) specializing in narrative therapy. We are currently serving as private practitioners working with a broad spectrum of client concerns including grief and loss, anxiety, depression, stress, relationship discord, issues related to substance abuse and addiction, and with those who are struggling with physical limitations. We have provided family therapy at the Children’s Cabinet, Heal Therapy of Nevada, Compass Behavioral Health, and Serenity Mental Health. We emphasize a strength-based collaborative approach to therapy through therapeutic conversations that help families, couples, and individuals rediscover hope in the midst of the problem-saturated stories of their current experiences. Our therapeutic approaches are based on therapy of appreciation for the client and the influence of problems on the clients’ lives. We integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer highly personalized approaches tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, we work with individuals to help them rediscover their strengths, discover new possibilities, and help them move into their preferred life stories. We worship at Life Church in South Reno. We have facilitated a variety of groups and classes at Sparks Christian Fellowship for over 10 years including The Answer group, Boundaries, 12 Steps - A Spiritual Journey, Recharging Your Marriage, and parenting classes.

SUMMARY   Reviews Summary

McAuliffe Therapy receives high marks for compassionate and experienced therapists, especially Laura. Patients appreciate the support and constructive conversations she provides. There are numerous signs of community in the reviews, with Laura supporting the client in unfolding their concerns autonomously. Maybe individual is trying to see through family issues, relationships, self-care, mental health, personal trauma, or any problem. Laura Angelica is offering help during stressful times for intentional care. Their counselor or therapist is an essential part of their caravan in co-creation of healing paths, exploration, understanding, and accountability. Folks simply seeking companionship and educated in empathy for the individual approach, common struggles, and kindness beyond diagnoses. Family dynamics, folklore, systemic therapy, narrative, holistic care, and feminism help in other personal theories too. This is a community care and collaboration where specialized care is ready. Given these reviews, it appears people are working and continuously supporting each other. Additionally, Client's child received help as Laura was instrumental in navigating individual struggles to their relief. Everyone is strong and happy in this family centered way...the environment is designed to support immigrants. Therapists are patient, kind, sympathetic. Safeguard patients and the outdoors of the therapists are soothing. It is a cross-cultural narrative with these positive reviews. It's a good idea to bring immigrants and a proxy of their lives to therapy, coupled with relief, voids, escape or reconciliation. Intensely with their immigrant position built on identity, their lives may need happiness and memories. A diverse therapist is able to talk it through and navigate with a client in growth and stress. McAuliffe therapists are cool with this type of environment with a client being listened to by an therapist. Something to note is the knowledge therapist is great for the history purpose. Don't exhaust yourself but wait for another opportunity to visit this safe place. It could be there possible outcome of an environment.
