About this business

We have Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists who enjoy working with preteens (10-12), teens, women, men, couples, and families. We maintain a private practice in Reno, Nevada. We are native Nevadans, raised in Reno and Carson City. We completed our BS degrees at the University of Nevada Reno which is where we met, and we have raised our family here in the Reno/Sparks community. We returned to school for MS degrees in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy at the University of Phoenix (Reno campus) specializing in narrative therapy. We are currently serving as private practitioners working with a broad spectrum of client concerns including grief and loss, anxiety, depression, stress, relationship discord, issues related to substance abuse and addiction, and with those who are struggling with physical limitations. We have provided family therapy at the Children’s Cabinet, Heal Therapy of Nevada, Compass Behavioral Health, and Serenity Mental Health. We emphasize a strength-based collaborative approach to therapy through therapeutic conversations that help families, couples, and individuals rediscover hope in the midst of the problem-saturated stories of their current experiences. Our therapeutic approaches are based on therapy of appreciation for the client and the influence of problems on the clients’ lives. We integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer highly personalized approaches tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, we work with individuals to help them rediscover their strengths, discover new possibilities, and help them move into their preferred life stories. We worship at Life Church in South Reno. We have facilitated a variety of groups and classes at Sparks Christian Fellowship for over 10 years including The Answer group, Boundaries, 12 Steps - A Spiritual Journey, Recharging Your Marriage, and parenting classes.
