Eleanor Donovan Gilson was just a young woman when she opened a dance studio in 1976. Eleanor, who grew up and went to school in South Buffalo, launched the studio, which started small with just a few students. It has since grown to become a family-run business that has become an integral part of the Buffalo community. At South Buffalo Dance Academy, we cherish and celebrate our students' self-expression. Our mentoring objective is for each dancer to express their personality while wearing their dancing attire. We do not have a dress code. All dancers must wear dancewear or activewear relevant to their particular dance style and techniques. The following are the requirements for each class.
Ballet
You may like to purchase pale pink ballet shoes. A proper fitting from Bailey’s Slipper Shop may be necessary. Your dancer may benefit from wearing leotards and tights. Dancers may feel more comfortable wearing a shrug or ballet skirt. Discount Dance has a wide variety of affordable and exclusive options in leotards and tights as well as ballet skirts and shrugs. Many students have bought outfits, shoes, and other attire from Target, Walmart, and other stores.
Reviews Summary
A lot of the reviews emphasize the terrific relationships, highly-qualified trainers and friendly and helpful program. The studio is highly regarded for its recitals, commitment to a family atmosphere and offering both in-person instruction and online sessions. Most of the reviewers said that they wouldn't trust the students' growth and fun to any other studio. A unique one stunned us saying primarily that the studio was vastly open in contrast to the rest in the league. Easy. When they rate, they suggest that despite high ratings. It's an incredible studio, it's fun and the standards is high.
