Undergrounds Coffee House and Roastery

Three partners came together in 2016 to honor the memory of the deceased at a closed funeral home. Undergrounds Coffee House & Roastery, a new café at this same location, is celebrating life. We came to love and appreciate the world on our travels. This love and understanding of cultures worldwide that celebrate life, even in death, is the motivation behind the invention. This understanding of other cultures globally that celebrate life even during death is the creativity of the overall design and feel of the establishment, including the decorations, environment, menu, etc. With the company being owned 100% by women, we aim to create an inclusive environment for all to find employment, leadership, and partnership opportunities (Undergrounds Coffee House and Roastery, 2021). Community From the beginning, the community has played a critical role in ensuring the success of our startup. We had this idea even before we started the business. When you partner with local businesses and other small businesses, they often supply items you will love or buy for your home and retail products or art from local artists. In return, they often patronize your business, thus giving back to the community (Undergrounds Coffee House and Roastery, 2021). We help as much as we can. Our primary goal, when we can, is to assist others. However, as often as we can, we offer space or coffee to local events. We are proud to have a relationship with the OFW Community Center and their annual Youth Art Show. We are growing, and we look forward to doing more in future (Undergrounds Coffee House and Roastery, 2021).

Underground is rated highly by customers. The atmosphere and service are fantastic, with a friendly, welcoming staff. Many diners loved the plentiful vegetarian and vegan options, as well as the seasonal offerings. Coffee comes highly recommended, with descriptions of excellent flavors and strength. Guests also love the range of bags and shirts they sell. Several mentioned a breakfast sandwich and cold brew as their favorite. One frequent customer described how good the food and service consistently are. Good to know, the place is great for big or small meetings and is decorated with interesting art all over. Even if they hadn't tried the coffee, first-time customers had a good time. One person said they felt like they might come back the next week for the food, not the drinks. Other reviewers said the store had a local feel and praised its location and neighborhood. Many said they planned to return, and every reviewer felt they had discovered a hidden gem.
