After my father passed away in 2010, I enlisted Mr. Lamkin to create an elder care trust for my mother and paid him in full. Unbeknownst to my family until 2020, per county records, Mr. Lamkin never even created a trust with its own tax ID for my mother’s assets. The assets were unprotected this entire time and the five year lookback in 2020 when we properly engaged this with another elder care lawyer. I wrote to Mr. Lamkin several years before 2020 to ask for a confirmation of the trust and he never once replied to several attempts I made. If he were ethical, I feel he should give us a full refund given his failure to follow through with the Trust, along with compensation for the lost 10 years of time re: the five year lookback period when we thought my mother was protected. SHAME ON YOU and SHAME ON THIS PRACTICE for taking advantage of vulnerable clients like my mother and me.”
