GBM Law has been serving clients for over 25 years. The Columbus law office, across from the Courthouse, was established in 1991. The firm employed Michael Geiser in 1991 as an associate attorney. While earning his law degree from Capital University Law School, Mike worked as a law clerk. In 1997, Mike was made a partner/owner of the firm. In 2003, Mike was appointed Managing Partner. In July 2015, GBM Law named Sydney McLafferty (left) and J. Scott Bowman (right) as Partners. They were appointed to represent the next generation of Ohioans. Sydney and Scott clerked at the firm while in law school. Sydney McLafferty served as the co-counsel on and successfully managed hundreds of civil lawsuits in Columbus. She is recognized as one of the best legal talents in Columbus. J. Scott Bowman was a Cecil & Geiser employee for nine years before moving to another firm. They are board-certified and have played a vital role in the courtroom. The top one percent of attorneys in a state can become board-certified.
