Guardian Moving & Storage was founded in 1971. In 1972, it became part of the Atlas family. Jay Fuson of Indianapolis bought Guardian in 2002, and then in 2012, the company was rebranded with a new logo and slogan. Guardian Relocation gave its new highway to the future logo, tagline and slogan of "beyond expectation" in 1971. Then, in 2009, Guardian acquired Home Moving and Storage in Columbus, Ohio. The company had been providing outstanding customer service to National Account customers for the last 40 years. Guardian acquired Columbus, Ohio-based 2012 Home Moving and Storage, making it an official part of Guardian Relocation. This move makes it easier for our customers, prospects, and employees to recognize us. In 2013, Guardian wanted to expand its presence outside the Middle West and chose Memphis, Tennessee. We needed to choose a city that was a well-known distribution and logistics hub. Memphis is well-known for its global distribution and logistics. Guardian has opened 2015 ABC Moving in St. Louis. This business is an agent for Atlas Van Lines, headquartered in Missouri since 1972. It will be our fifth office and gateway to the West. Guardian is expanding its commercial and residential services for customers. We recognized the need to grow our business and customer base.
