My family engaged them to handle my parents' divorce but they proved to be untrustworthy and left the case unresolved. It appeared that language was a problem for them as our family is not fluent in English, and instead of guiding us through the process, they deserted us. Their behaviour grows the language barrier wider, displaying a lack of professionalism and empathy, and therefore I would not refer anyone to them, especially not fluent in English. I had never dealt with a custody issue or courts in my life and she was amazing. It was very reassuring to be guided through this process by her and when I had questions or concerns she made sure to make me feel reassured. I would highly recommend her to anyone! Clients Feedback N: 2 out of 5 stars Gena wouldn't actually speak with me for months. She was too busy to meet and prepare me for anything. She let me go into the Hearing anxious and blind. One day before the Hearing, she sent me the defendants false and absurd allegations. The day of the Hearing, 2 minutes before the Hearing to be exact, she asked me if i have any evidence with me for the exhibits in 3-4 copies, which I had no clue about. After the fiasco and having no evidence during the Hearing, she blamed me for not being prepared. Charged me a fortune to email back and forth with the other counsel while telling me I'm an enabler so this is my fault and there's nothing I can do to fix it. Achieved nothing, almost lost all my parental rights due to the defendants false accusations. Not at all supportive or professional. Fired her, but her initial screw up and incompetence costed me an arm and a leg and 3 more years in court trying to prove that the desicion was made due to her indifference and incompetence. Once you look bad, you look bad for awile. Finally, 3.5 years later, I'm divorced, but paid so much money and healthwise. I went with a higher rated lawyer who closed the case after 3 years of battle due to her screw up and completely in my favor. Spent more time with the better lawyer in the first week than I spent with Gena over the course of 3 months. She kept the $3000 retainer, charged me another couple of thousand within 3 month, now asking for another $2,200 to be paid asap plus 12% interest per annum (for past 4 years). Don't waste your time. She has the license to grab your money, not for the services rendered the way they are supposed to. Four years later, she found my new address and sent a fat bill for just showing up in court that one unfortunate day I walked into the court room blindly. However the bill contains different information now that indicates a counterclaim, preparation of exhibits and request to CSEA for tax audit (i've been charged for that once, but I see it again on this mistery bill), alleged communications and emails, that could not have possibly occurred between the night hours, right after she sent me the defendants response at 5pm and the Hearing next day at 11am. This bill contains an additional 12% interest for 4 years she waited to get me by surprise for the services initially NOT provided. Gena, you sold your soul!
