Long story short myself and my 3 children were trapped with my abusive ex husband when I consulted with Mary on how to make a clean break. In the end, it was NOT a clean break and we had to go through a long and ugly battle for the kids, the house and everything in between. She was retained to represent my daughter who is a mother of 4 in a custody/divorce case against a non child support paying, violent man who cheated, impregnated another and abandoned his wife/children. Truthfully anyone could have put forth the pitiful effort she did. She needs to retire. It took 3 years and over 30 thousand dollars before it was all finished. While my ex husband had Thomas McCormack as his attorney and he was a bully. Mary assured me that she would fight for me. That was not the case. She allowed Mr McCormack to bully me and it appeared to me that she was intimidated by him. Throughout the entire process I did all the leg work as far as getting documentation, contacting the courts ect. When all was said and done I was left with nothing, including custody of my child. I had provided Mary Papcke with medical records, police reports and cps reports all showing that my ex husband was abusive and also very dangerous to myself and my children. She refused to use any of that information for my defense. The reason I am writing this review so many years later is that I am currently still fighting for custody of my daughter. My daughter has had to endure years of abuse at the hand of her father and I personally blame Mary for dropping the ball and letting this continue. Also another big issue I believe others should be aware of is that she had lost her license to practice law for several years due to official misconduct. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT HIRE MARY PAPCKE TO HANDLE YOUR CASE. SHE WILL COST YOU THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS AND YOU WILL END UP NOT ONLY DOING MOST OF THE WORK BUT ULTIMATELY YOU WILL MOST LIKELY LOSE. 14. Mary Papcke is still representing I see. Someone ask me today 8/30/2021 if I still had my divorce attorneys phone number. LOL I had a difficult divorce 17 years ago and Mary Papcke was a God send. She made my ordeal smooth and drama free as she possibly could. Mary was concerned and very considerate. She is a force to be wrecked with on a very professional matter. My friends and family still inquire about her 17 years later. I highly recommend her. Time flies when you’ve been happily remarried for 14 years. Thank you Mary for helping me move forward without the stress.
