This drawing and painting studio is 850 square foot, well equipped, with a lot of natural lighting. As an instructor, my goal is to empower you with the necessary skills to realize your vision. With the right training, I believe anyone can draw and paint. It is true that some people will find it easier to draw or paint than others, but it's a skill everyone can learn with practice. First, you must learn the visual language through an understanding of elements and principles. Second, mastering the art (controlling the materials and techniques used for drawing and painting) is key. These basic skills are the foundation for creating successful paintings.

Beatriz Mayorca's studio is where she imagines, creates and brings unique contemporary art, functional art, and creatives into the public domain. Her unique designs are a combination of nature, modern elegance, and clean lines. Venezuelan born artist and interior design has been living in the USA, since 2005. Her degree is in social communication from Central University of Venezuela. However, her love of the arts led her to pursue a Bachelor's of Fine Arts at the University of Central Oklahoma. She has engaged in different artistic forms, from unique lighting and furniture design to sculptures. But her public art is one way she can reach the community on a wide spectrum. Beatriz Mayorca has roots in the Caribbean coast, Andes Mountains, and the Amazon rainforest. Her works are also influenced by European art, using concrete, wood and metal. Working outside her homeland as a Hispanic contemporary artist gave Beatriz a whole new perspective on her work. Her creations are no longer based in traditional Venezuelan craft. Beatriz, who is no longer in her native Venezuela, now sees herself as an international artist, with a mestizo heritage that permeates each design.

This allows her images to emerge. Richardson’s imagination is almost hidden behind a flurry of brushstrokes. Richardson, a native Oklahoman, has been interested in Western mythology for most of her life. She uses the modern vocabulary in her paintings, but she has deep ties to the west frontier. It is through the image of a horse that I can express the true essence of my work; energy and motion. As a living being, I find the horse beautiful and enjoy its power, speed and physical beauty. In my paintings I take the real horse and turn it into a symbolic image. Horses are a symbol of the human spirit. They can be unbridled and striving. Sometimes they're heroic. Other times, restless. Full of energy. This is not something new. The horse has been a central figure in the stories of every culture. The horse is a powerful symbol in art. From images found on prehistoric cave walls to Norse Mythology to modern plays like "Equus", it has been portrayed by many artists. In the tradition of this painting but using the vocabulary and contemporary style of modern art, I tried to find my emotional response in my subject.
