Reliable Lyric Theatre Thelma Gaylord Academy, home to Oklahoma's leading school of musical theatre, is located in Oklahoma. Thousands of former students have benefited from our academy since it opened in 2001. We are proud to say that many of our alumni are successful in their personal and professional lives. They have gone on to work as lawyers, doctors, educators, mothers, fathers, husbands, and even actors in Hollywood, TV, and Broadway. However, our most significant accomplishment is that every student who finishes the program comes away with a sense of self and a place in their community. They also assume a responsibility for building a world where everyone is accepted. The Thelma Gagaard Academy is a comprehensive program that guides students through the world of musical theatre. We provide a safe and fun atmosphere where the next generation of musical theatre artists can develop. We also want every student to have a lifelong passion for musical theatre.
