be Galleries

In 1978, it was founded by Be Galleries and moved to Pittsburgh's vibrant Lawrenceville neighborhood in 2007. They are located near the Blessed Sacrament cathedral. It is the first dual residential/commercial LEED-certified building. It was designed by STRADA architects, whose portfolios include award-winning mixed-use buildings, high-end single-family homes, and public facilities for civic and cultural organizations. Besides the main gallery, there is also an annex gallery. You can have multiple shows or a single comprehensive exhibition covering both galleries simultaneously. Apart from performance art, the galleries can be used for painting, sculpture, photography, and other media. We believe in the aesthetic value of art and its power to enlighten, inspire, and affirm life. With Be Galleries, aesthetic value ranks higher than the commercial value of art. Our short-term goal is to exhibit a diverse group of artists in the region who have made it their mission to work full-time on their craft. Our long-term goal is to become an exhibition site for artists and their advisors who want their works to be displayed in the first time zone.
