Chazan Gallery at The Wheeler School is a non-profit artists' gallery in Providence, Rhode Island, that presents local contemporary artists. The Wheeler facility is an excellent place to exhibit some of Providence's fantastic artists. An annual program of captivating and diverse exhibits from some of the region's most talented artists is available. Bill Van Siclen, the former arts editor of the Providence Journal, praised the gallery as a "model for quality and consistency." The gallery's exhibitions have featured some of the state's most gifted artists. The gallery is located on Providence's East Side, near Brown University, the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), and RISD's Art Museum. Wheeler School has donated the gallery in its entirety. A call for submissions is issued every other fall, and independent jury panels of professionals select 5-6 exhibits for the upcoming year. Themes of the regular exhibits are established by the jurors, and submissions are reviewed anonymously. This panel is made up of local curators, artists, and educators. The Chazan Gallery also offers special curated exhibitions.
