ABOUT   Services Excellence Summary

Our music program engages students in a range of musical experiences with an emphasis on skill development, group collaboration, and performance in the community. Our music majors receive two hours of instruction each day. The Arts Block class for Theory, History, and Composition is the backbone of the music program. This includes songwriting, ear training, and general musicianship. Arts Practicum is tied to students learning their vocal and instrumental skills. Music technology is also used in this class. Students in grades 7-8 are introduced to music fundamentals through hands-on experimentation with drums, guitars, and xylophones. They also learn basic music theory and history and study and write favorite songs from various musical styles, write their own lyrics, compose drum beats, perform these songs, and discuss what music usually means to society and the world.

SUMMARY   Reviews Summary

The reviews for TAPA School are mixed, the topics. Essentially, they are related to the experience of interacting with and reviewing the school's leadership. Many commend the school's programs and staff for their creativity and service to the community, indicating a positive experience. One user's experience with a school administrator pushed the review's overall attitude to the other side. This person reported that the administrator strongly responded to a TAPA community complaint and that the experienced leader undermined their ability to criticize the school, citing racism and hypocrisy. The reviewer even felt personally affected and humiliated, showing how much Facebook is misunderstood by international students because they have not experienced much in America yet. Free speech issues and the First Amendment were considered by the commenter. This person also said that the school should be seriously rated when considering the building, suggesting a reevaluation based on student experience. Some reviewers think highly of the school, but at least one condition may need to be reviewed first. Not everyone can agree, though, and the experiences of others must be heard and understood before they are responded to. These situations often depend on multiple factors that can change because of the context of the encounter.apses TAPA for delivering significant community creative services, and TAPA is appreciated for that.
