Dr. Pierce is a West Point, NY native who graduated from the United States Military Academy. Before he started his medical studies at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, Dr. Pierce served as an Environmental Science & Engineering officer at the USMA. This academy is directly funded by the federal government. He was a Walter Reed National Military Medical Center dermatology trainee under Dr. Casey Chern. Dr. Pierce provided comprehensive dermatologic treatment to active-duty soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines, and retired personnel. He was assigned to Womack Army Medical Center as Staff Dermatologist. This clinic treats soldiers from nearby Ft. Bragg, the nation's largest military installation, as well as veterans. After over 14 years in the U.S.Army, Dr. Pierce began his civilian career at Central Dermatology in North Carolina. Dr. Pierce founded his clinic in Charleston following this experience. Clearline Dermatology will open in February of 2021. Dr. Chern and Dr. Chen maintained contact and shared a love for high-quality, compassionate skin, nail, and hair care after their training. Dr. Chern then joined Clearline Dermatology. Dr. Pierce and his family, including his three children, enjoy helping patients with top-notch dermatologic, cosmetic, and surgical treatment.
