Boycott Coffee is built to oppose the coffee business, a $460 billion industry based on worker exploitation and repression worldwide. Farmers, baristas, and communities receive few benefits from it, while corporations, traders and owners make billions. In response to this highly profitable industry, "specialty coffee" places quality above exploitation. The coffee businesses that claim to be part of the industry are still left out. Specialty coffee really is a rebranding of the many cultures of the global south. We reimagine or reshape those tastes or cultures to strike a balance between them and supply. Boycotting coffee here is not abstention but instead a call for action. We urge you to start asking how your coffee is made. We ask you to raise questions, intercede with the environment, and have an argumentative discussion about coffee and who owns it at every value chain step. We invite you to join the coffee workers, suppliers, and mill owners in their revolt. They are fighting for a community that does not water down these narratives and that is open to conversation about how we can create a more equitable and transparent coffee industry for those who consume, make or sell it, and enjoy it. Our goal is to investigate solutions to coffee-related challenges and enhance your coffee experience.
