Boyce College of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary gave Erin Marie her Bachelor of Arts in Counseling. Liberty University later granted her a MA in Professional Counseling after she completed her undergraduate degree at the same institution. Erin Marie Cox, LPC, gained all the tools and resources she needed to become a competent counselor. Erin Marie worked at Exchange Club Family Center as an intern, where she played a key role in the Domestic Violence Assessment Center (and Program). She provided extensive therapy to individuals and groups during her tenure there. Erin Marie also served for 7 years at a place called HeartLife Professional Soul Care, where she was a therapist specializing in individual, adolescent, and family therapy. In counseling, compassion, acceptance, and loving others are essential. Going to therapy requires courage because change is hard. However, you can develop paths to change by acknowledging your pain, brokenness, and shattered dreams. Helping others in their broken places is a tremendous privilege, and she cherishes this opportunity to support others’ growth and healing.
