Cook-Walden Funeral Home has been serving Austin residents with funeral and cremation services for over a century. We have consistently met the needs of Austin families and have evolved to meet the changing circumstances in Austin. From two chapels and visitation rooms to a reception space, Cook-Walden Funeral Home on North Lamar Boulevard can accommodate any visitation or service. Our on-property cremation facility provides on-site cremation, including witnessed cremation. Cook-Walden is proud to serve families of all religious backgrounds and can conduct services for Buddhist and Hindu religious beliefs. This facility is one of the few acceptable to the Jewish tradition of Tahara (preparing the body to be buried) and Shomer (sitting with the deceased for 24 hours until the last ceremony).
