Modern Barber & Beauty Institute

I am a former student at MBBI and I truly think this review is long overdue. I had to wait and pass my Cosmetology Exams (that I passed a few months ago thank you youtube!) before posting because the owners have had a past with freezing students' accounts for speaking their mind. On that topic, side note: my name is not Michelle. I am choosing to keep my identity private to prevent any personal situations from starting. I'm sure the owners are going to see this review and comment something similar to "You aren't in our records as a customer/student" trying to deflect on the situation or find ANY errors or flaws in my review to put the blame on ANYTHING else other than the fact of the matter. I just want to say that I am not coming on here to bash the students. The students are all AMAZING AND TALENTED people who just want to fulfill their passions. I think that it should be put out there that they advertise as a Cosmetology AND Barber school, but if I am being honest, THIS IS A PRIMARILY BARBER SCHOOL. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE WANTING TO PERSUE BEAUTY/COSMETOLOGY. CHARLES & SUE'S AND MANUEL AND TERESA'S ARE BOTH SCHOOLS THAT YOU WILL FIND BETTER OPPORTUNITIES AND STRUCTURE AT. The barbers at MBBI are mouth droppingly talented, I will give that to them. But the owners openly said at school one day when we brought this matter up that the Cosmetology side is purely for their proffit only so they can get money from more students. There was a review left by my former Co cosmetology student Jay who has mentioned this matter and other matters that were 100% true because I was there the day his matters had occurred and witnessed the WHOLE ENCOUNTER. I will explain exactly what happened since he had to take his review down. Jessica (the owner/wife) was going on a rampage about making sure that we had NOTHING out on our side of the school because it's against regulations (it is not against anything to have our supplies out unless it is a sanitation issue and we were not breaking any rules with that she just wanted us to have nothing out on our side but the barbers side looked like a pigs home) and she was clearly getting frustrated because of it. Jay was talking to his friend who was a student as well about a personal matter and jessica turns around and screams at Jay many things like "what tf are you b****ing about now" and "if you have something to say you can say it to my face." Jay righrfully so in my opinion replied back with what the Hell is your problem and she says YOU. She starts calling him ghetto because of his grammar and saying all these hurtful things to him and tells him to just clock out. She then suspended him. The very next day through text the owners say we are terminating your enrollment, come by at this time and grab your things. Jessica is around 43 and asks like the most immature and youngest person there. She is the least professional person I know and has no heart. He then goes onto google after this happens a few weeks later and write a review vaguly explaining the situation with not as many details as me. After this happened their numbers went down on Google and they told all the barbers and the staff (the staff did not have a choice) to go onto Google and leave a 5 star review and they will get compensated for doing so but did not ask the cosmos.
