Genesis 21

A woman from El Paso started Genesis 21 in 1997, a Hispanic management consulting firm. The Small Business Administration praised Genesis 21's work in rural and remote areas in 2018. Genesis 21's efforts were recognized with the National SBA Administrator's Certificate of Excellence and the SBA District Women in Business Advocate Award in 2002. Our planning and business acumen were lauded by Yale School of Management and Goldman Sachs Foundation in 2003 when they ranked Genesis 21 in the Top Three Percent (3%) of small businesses. El Paso Community College asked Genesis 21 to re-establish its foundation in 2009. Over $2,000,000 was raised, and over $200,000 was given to the Foundation for scholarships. Genesis 21 was awarded the contract to manage the HUD-funded business incubator in Presidio Texas, located in 2014. During the same year, we provided individual and group consultations to rural West Texas residents. At the National Association of Governmental Labor Officials' annual meeting in 2014, Texas Workforce Commissioner Ronald Congleton selected Genesis 21 to deliver a keynote address
