Artes de La Rosa Cultural Center for the Arts

Artes Academy is a youth program that has won several awards. Our educational initiatives are based on this program. Kids from third to twelfth grade can enroll in this program, regardless of race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation. Some Artes Academy graduates have pursued arts careers. Our objective is to teach communication and social skills to our students so they can become members of society. Classes are provided for kids in grades 3-12. There are two three-month terms in Spring and Fall, with a summer camp each year. The kids will create their play while studying acting and technical skills. WRR Classical Radio 101.1 voted the program "Best Arts Experience for Kids 2003" and "Best Arts Experience for Children 2004". Coming Up Taller awarded the program in 2006.

The reviews are generally positive, most applauding the venue directly. They are proud that Fort Worth's historic creative culture lives because the community can directly interact with it. A large number of commendations are focused on the diverse, artistic events available. For example, patrons can enjoy performances or take a dance, music, or even art class. A Royal Patron recalls how they felt connected to their background when they saw how beautiful the space was, especially the art the Italian Stallion provided. The friendly, dedicated staff also attracted praise. Likewise, various visitors have recommended this location for youth and family programs. One mom said she always looks forward to summer because of her kids, and guys would always have a good time. These productions that connect diverse communities are perfect for a loving family like mine to come and feel welcome. The feeling of unity and joy I get always makes me want to go back. All the fun for our community creates memories that shape Fort Worth's culture. The theater is beautiful and spacious, which creates a lovely place to be. The community must support the POC community because it provides a strong connection. This Minneapolis native must say that these are reasons for the engaging programming and welcoming community.
