I recently bought a new house and invited a contractor over because I wanted to coat what I thought were hardwood floors. But after taking a look, he explained that the flooring isn’t actually real wood—it’s a plastic material made to look like wood, so coating isn’t necessary. I felt really sorry for calling him out for nothing, but he was very honest and didn’t seem bothered at all. He just smiled, reassured me that it was completely fine, and remained kind and professional until the very end. I also appreciate that he has a very deep and expert understanding of floor coating. 5. I signed a contract with Adam and paid the 50% deposit. When they realized I was not able to give them 5 straight days of full access to my property they ran away in about 5 seconds without offering any other scheduling options (I work and could only give them 2-3 days straight at a time plus this need was never discussed in advance). I never requested the job to be cancelled and a phased scheduling plan was never offered. I’m thinking I lucked out as no company wants to get rid of a job that quickly unless there is some underlying issue. 6. I had an amazing experience with Greater Houston Flooring from start to finish. Sergio and Jonathan did an amazing job deep cleaning my hardwood floors, bringing back a level of richness and shine I did not think was possible. Jose’s installation work was equally impressive, carried out with precision, care, and true craftsmanship. What truly set this experience apart, however, was the professionalism and attentiveness of Adam, the owner, and Steve. They were a pleasure to work with, communicative, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to ensuring everything was done to the highest standard. It is rare to find a team that combines skill, integrity, and such a strong attention to detail. GHF was fast and efficient with high quality work. Easy to work with and the crew did a fantastic job installing and with a great cleanup after the fact too. 8. I sought three quotes, and Adam with GHF was the only one who actually came to my house to see things for himself, talk me through the process, and answer all of my random questions. Everything about this job was straightforward, which is exactly what I needed. No alarms, no surprises. When the work began, Giovanni and his crew were punctual, diligent, and very friendly. They finished the job ahead of schedule, and I couldn't be happier with the end result. From my perspective, GHF doesn't have such a high rating because they chase five-star reviews. Their rating here is deserved because they deliver a top-tier experience. 10. We were extremely happy with our experience with GHF. Adam was very helpful throughout the process. This included flooring selection, scheduling and installation with skilled and respectful crews, and helping us communicate effectively with our insurance company to ensure the right technical details were communicated so we settled our claim properly. We would highly recommend this business. 11. Adam and his team did a great job on my laminate floor and stairs. Beautiful work, and on an efficient timeline. Gave recommendations and had good insights. They worked with my insurer as well. Would recommend. 12.
