Customer feedback summary: 1. We hired Mrs. Bennett early in our custody case. She was very straightforward and understanding about the situation. I felt like she really cared, that she would fight for me. She handled everything very well. Through the convoluted and complicated events of the case, she always seemed well prepared, and she usually made me feel like I didn't have to do much legwork at all. We had a good plan and timeframe, and I don't feel she dropped the ball for me once. I never felt like I was getting the runaround, which happens a lot with lawyers. Lawyers only do part of their job, and the rest is up to the judge and the jury. They cut out all the crap, and I highly recommend Kate and her team. Lawyers get a bad rap because many don't care about the truth and the facts, and they only care about winning and taking money. Kate is one of those rare lawyers with a conscience. Thanks, Kate! 2. Daryl Bennet & this law firm are a joke. Literally felt like a joke watching my loved one being represented by this office, that’s how bad it was. Daryl failed to show for the final trial and sent Nick. Nick said more outside the courthouse apologizing than he did inside to represent my cousin. Damn deer in headlights! RUN FROM THIS OFFICE! At least that was my perspective on the situation... Kate might downplay it to be just “another day in the office” but that is because she that dang GOOD! Mrs. Bennett and staff are always one step ahead and will make sure you are too. Kate is very knowledgeable (especially when dealing with cases that involve disability, spousal maintenance, child support, etc.) and will advise you in a manner that is perceived as FAIR (from a legal standpoint... she is not a fairy godmother who can wave a wand and sprinkle fairy dust over your soon-to-be ex to make rain clouds follow them all over creation). Remember this is your mess and you will be required to be honest and forthcoming with information that allows Mrs. Bennett to fully prepare in getting you the best possible outcome. The difference in attitude before and after they receive their fee is truly mind-numbing, you will think you called the wrong office as soon as the money is exchanged. They know they have you now! This law office is the prime example of why lawyers are known to be con artists while waving around their pompous degrees… as if that exempts them from showing up to work on time and aware of what is on the docket. If you remind them of their failure to perform, you are met with blatant hostility, lectures on how pious and noble they are to “help you.” You see, you are less than they are, and they will get this overt insult into every conversation. After the obvious is pointed out; that they are a service for hire, and we have entered an agreement of exchanging their expert representation for your hard-earned cold cash, they continue to lecture you on gratitude! Subtleties are not one of their strengths, neither is irony. I would be thankful if they withheld all their excuses… they even used COVID as an excuse! Serious Gaslighting. She also condones stalking and harassing of the other parties witnesses via social media and contacting their place of employment etc. 12.
