It is unfortunate my experience was unlike so many of the other reviews, however, I think it is still worth mentioning if you are on the fence as to which law firm to retain when it comes to family matters. This firm gladly accepted the retainer fee and then all but refused to answer my calls, emails, etc. When I voiced frustration and seeked clarification over the course of several weeks, staff blamed miscommunications as to which professional was handling my case and still were unable to follow through with their very simple responsibilities regarding my needs after the fact. This confusion (on their side) led to me having a prenuptial agreement simply notarized before my wedding. My husband’s attorney was not even able to work with them due to their complete disregard for communication. Their lack of transparency and professionalism was further showcased when it took over a month to have Halina directly contact me to resolve the inadequacies. Once again, blame was placed on other employees, which only furthered my belief they lack professionalism as a whole. Yes I eventually received a partial refund of the retainer, but again, even that required me literally calling/emailing several times over the course of several weeks and having to hear more of their excuses. She’s compassionate and understanding when it comes to such sensitive matters, the only attorney I know who had call and checked on me after hours. Halina believe in me and that’s why I am forever grateful for her. She knows the law well and plays no games in the court room!!! If you want an aggressive family law expert call Halina. I had the pleasure of working with Everson during the intake process and he was a pleasure to work with. I thought the intake process would be overwhelming, but Everson was beyond insightful, made it seamless, and even made me smile even though I called 2 minutes before closing.
