Bee Trucking, LLC

History: Established in 1981 by Lee Roy Swope Sr. and Don B. Flynt, River City Delivery filled the gap for reliable truckload deliveries of commercial freight throughout San Antonio. Alamo Hot Shot followed in 1983, then Bee Hot Shot in 1984. Lee Roy and Don partnered with Phil Heintz of San Antonio Merchant Shippers in 1983. Phil owned a local company that sought to help area retailers save on freight costs by combining their small shipments into large enough volumes for national carriers to discount. Bee Trucking was formed at that point, and over the next 15 years, the company became a widely recognized leader in the retail clothing sector in the Southwest and Southeast. With its reputation for on-time and reliable long-haul service, Bee Trucking started adding new customers, items, and geography to its list of operations. Today, we have tractors, trailers (both dry and refrigerated), all loaded with commercial freight, all over the United States, and some are leased while others are owned, operated, or contracted to this company.
