Bihl Haus Arts

Bihl Haus Arts is a nonprofit community-based arts group whose founding premise is that all individuals can enjoy personal, cultural, and social development with arts involvement. Bihl Haus Arts promotes and sustains diverse cultures and visual artists in San Antonio, cultivating creative exchange and growth across generations. GO! Seniors, a community art program for established and emerging artists, is a joint project of Bihl Haus Arts and residents of the surrounding community. The SALSA (Successful Living and Aging in San Antonio) Caregiver and Socialization Workgroup developed a toolkit for caregivers based on input from family caregivers. Bihl Haus Arts, a member of this group, also participated. The toolkit is intended for spouses and family members who provide care at home to their loved ones. Many care plans, whether for hospital discharge or daily care at home, rely on family caregivers. This toolkit is designed to help family caregivers, regardless of whether they are new or experienced in the home, by providing practical tips for caregivers and useful information on how caregivers can get support and what support options are available.
