This team consists of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and licensed professional counselors. They use methadone, Antabuse, Campral, and naltrexone to treat clients. Methadone is a long-acting opioid medication that can be used for pain relief. It can also be used in combination with counseling and psychosocial services to help people addicted to heroin or prescription drugs. River City uses the orange-diskette form of methadone, which dissolves in water.
