The fleet has grown, with Oldsmobile Cutlass Supremes, Buick Centurys, Ford Pintos, and now Toyota Corollas. Over the years, Austin Driving School has transferred the sixth street location to other sites in Far South, South and Northwest Austin, Westlake, Cedar Park, and Pflugerville. Furthermore, the locations in Waco, Temple, North, and South Arlington contribute to the growth. Austin Driving School has a legendary burro that is familiar to the local community. One can find the burro on each driver education car. However, it is often misconceived to be a bunny by the learners in driver education classes. The driving instructor, Ed, featured on the burro, is famous. Ed teaches many teenagers who eventually bring their children and grandchildren for driving lessons. A married couple met in driver's ed, married, and had the name Ed printed on their roof as they left for the wedding. Therefore, Ed is a dynamic instructor for multiple generations and a symbol of happiness and marriage. Austin Driving School remains grateful for Ed, a consistent contributor to its success.
