The Madeleine Choir School was founded in 1996 as a hybrid of music and academic instruction. The school housed its first students, ages four to eight, in the Cathedral of the Madeleine's basement. The Madeleine Choir School now houses its students in its own adjacent property to the Cathedral, purchased in 2002. The school follows the Cathedral tradition as a Roman Catholic School tasked with educating students that are motivated and equipped to be exceptional and engaged scholars, communicators, liturgical musicians, and citizens of the world motivated to work for justice, mercy, and love.
