I would not recommend Kevin Vanderwerf as legal representation. Throughout the case, I experienced a consistent lack of professionalism, communication, and trust. It often felt that he and his team were only responsive when it came to payment matters while I was left unaware of many case updates. Multiple times, I only found out about crucial matters the day before court. In one phone conversation, Mr. Vanderwerf would repeatedly cut me off when I was asking questions, leaving me confused and feeling uninformed. When my boyfriend was there in the room to help explain, Mr. Vanderwerf got upset, then hung up the phone the night before court without explaining what to expect the following day. I found this disrespectful, unprofessional, and frustrating that my lawyer didn't seem to care to advocate for me. From my experience, I would not work with him again or recommend. 7. Rocky Mountain Defenders, PC – How I Rate My Attorney, Kevin Vander Werff: I want to say that Kevin Vander Werff is an amazing attorney and he and his assistant were very supportive and professional throughout the whole process! They were very successful with getting my case lowered and it was a lot more than I expected! They kept in contact with me often to give me an update on where we were at and what the next steps were! They did above and beyond and even when I was stressed or was confused on what was happening, they took the time to explain everything to me. What really made me stand out was that Kevin took the time to know me and my situation. He understood where I was at both emotionally and financially and he allowed me to push my final payment a month later when I was having financial issues. This meant so much to me as it eased my mind about the situation. It’s rare to find someone in this profession who not only gets you real results but also takes the time to really see you and make sure you feel supported.
