Client Feedback Summary: 1. I am seeking damages against Smith for his grossly incompetent litigation services; 2. AVOID this law firm! I signed up for a gratis consult and provided him with forensic accountant’s detailed findings with my own additional research which together would have been more than enough to win contested retirement accounts...But he did NOTHING and just wrote me a letter saying he would not pursue the investment retirement accounts at all...not even willing to return my money after that! He essentially admitted I paid him 10K to do EASY FREE work – alert to the Virginia State Bar - I have a court hearing next week to get his screwup corrected; 3. My case was highly complex and contentious. Various attorneys told me I was going to spend all my retirement accounts in attorney fees for a chance to get half of my ex's...I went to Christopher after speaking to several other attorneys in the area. He was confident and prepared and was easily the most intelligent-seeming attorney I spoke with. After getting burned by TWO other attorneys in the area I was VERY worried, at least this guy seemed on the ball. He was a straight shooter and told me it was not going to be easy but he never lied to me. My mistake was I should have followed his advice I tried to cut a deal and ended up paying him 10k to make me lose the case; 4. Very, very bad attorney one of the worst I have used. He didn’t do a thing. Left the state and got a new lawyer what a waste of money; 5. Took my retainer and sat on his hands for months, then stonewalled; they will never do anything for your case.
