St. Andrew's School is an autonomous Richmond, Virginia-based school aimed at serving low-income households. The institution is fully accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools. Founded in 1894 by Grace Arents, a prominent Richmond social reformer and philanthropist, the school has stayed true to its commitment to providing quality education to all children. St. Andrew's holds that children are better able to form meaningful connections with others when they lead their learning with questions and experienced based approaches. This philosophy underpins all our programming which is centered on whole-child programming, including academics. St. Andrew's School is committed to providing quality education to all children, especially those from low-income families.
