I was referred to Jim by an attorney in Charlottesville for a traffic infraction in Salem Virginia. I couldn't be more pleased with how Jim handled it. He was reasonable and was able to work out something that was good for me. My attorney friend was not wrong to recommend I give him a call, as I am out of state and he handled it mostly by email and phone so I didn't have to appear. He was clear and concise on what I needed to do. No one wants to pay an attorney but my money was well spent and I would have been a fool not to do it. I have a long history with Mr. Jim Cargill, I was lucky enough to first get him appointed to me as my attorney out of a Roanoke County case back in 2018. It was a pool so he wasn't my paid attorney at that point but he worked very very hard at getting me a fair deal and unfortunately I made a few bad choices after that and I ended up retaining him as my counsel for probation violation and he did excellent work for me!!! He stayed in contact and went over and beyond to help me!! Over the years I have turned my life around but recently I got a reckless driving ticket out of botetourt County so once again I knew exactly who to turn to and once again he got me the best deal I could get. I wish once I first got into trouble in 2016 I would have hired him as my attorney because I think things would have turned out differently for me because he is truly an incredible attorney. He goes over and above for his clients and he is fair, smart , and so easy to talk to. He doesn't judge you, he just wants to help you get your life on track. And his wife who works as his secretary is the most caring, sweet and helpful woman you will ever come across together they are a powerhouse!! But especially Mr. Cargill, he is definitely someone you want on your side when you're fighting against the justice system! I'd give a hundred stars if it were available!!
