Customer Reviews 1. This company is completely useless. I paid her everything upfront to adopt, she started the process then I was told I had to wait six months for some of my records. That was a year and a half ago! She stopped responding to me about 9 months ago. I haven't heard anything. I am disappointed and frustrated. This is not a cheap process. 2. Marie and her legal associates did an excellent job with our step parent adoption. After our phone consult, which included what to expect, a timeline, and costs- Marie got to work quickly. Our adoption was uncontested and took one month to complete. Thank you for helping us get our family completely happy and officially whole. Tilden Law Firm was quick and dedicated. 3. Marie was absolutely amazing; she was always professional and took the time to make sure I understood what was going on during the adoption process. Highly recommended!!! 4. Marie was amazing! We were nervous about the process and really didn’t know what to expect. Marie and Karen explained every step of the process and answered our questions. They made us comfortable and got us through it quickly! They helped us finalize the adoption process in just 2 months. Their fees were also quite affordable and a pleasant surprise. I recommend them for any adoption-related services! They were fantastic! 9. A wonderful adoption lawyer. 10. I have read the other reviews here and I just cannot in good conscience keep silent, despite my natural inclination to avoid reviews/surveys. Because, if one were to decide to hire Marie (or not) based on those other reviews alone, they would be severely mistaken and misguided. I walked into Marie Tilden's office six and a half years ago, still in shock that my marriage was crumbling and not knowing what this would mean as a father in a custody fight. She was so sweet, compassionate, and knowledgeable and, after just a one-hour talk, exactly the attorney I knew I needed to keep my children safe. She was very upfront and honest about the costs of a divorce and how back-logged Clark County's system is/was so I knew I wasn't going to get a cheap and easy and quick divorce. She told me she had my back and I wasn't alone. Neither of us knew exactly what (and for how long) that would mean. My ex-wife has gone through 10 lawyers because of her irrational and contradicting behavior while Marie has been a constant source of support, knowledge, and determination through what can only be considered a cautionary tale of a divorce/custody case. Even though our divorce was finalized over 4 years ago, my ex-wife's unconscionable insistence on litigating her hatred for me has dragged me and our children back through the cold, dark, mud of custody; yet Marie has been steadfast, ever-present source of support, knowledge, and determination to get the best for my children. I have custody (we are finalizing the litigation within the next two months), I've been granted permission to move with my children to a city where we are minutes away from family and in a great school district, and I have been able to take a job that allows me to give back to my community, make enough money to support my family, and visit my kids whenever possible. None of that would be possible without the guidance, support, and bulldog-like determination of Marie Tilden. She is busy, yes - she is widely known as Clark County's foremost adoption law expert, a (rightful) sought-after divorce attorney, and a parent to three amazing children. She is not the cheapest attorney, no - but in this industry, you get what you pay for, and I would say the value she brings is worth the cost. She is not your friend to contact any time, no - she is so much more than that; she is the hardest working, most supportive, newest family member committed to getting the best possible situation for you and your loved ones. She doesn't win all the time, no - but it will NEVER be for lack of trying. Maybe those other people had crappy cases, I don't know, but while we haven't won every motion or been able to mitigate every loss, in the end, my children are happy and that's worth every penny, second, and ounce of energy I have spent; and Marie has been there every step of the way. If you need an attorney for your custody/divorce case, there is no one more qualified or better to give you a great result than Marie Tilden. 11. My experience with this office was terrible. I started my divorce/child support case a year ago this week and unfortunately im still legally married but have received child support. I paid 75 dollars for my 1st initial visit and the paid the retainer fee of 1500 dollars and just had to pay another 1425 and now they want another 2000 to continue with my case and I'm still not divorced after a year and I've only yet again received child support I dont know where all this money is going! My divorce was not that difficult I wasn't asking for anything just a divorce and child support. I feel like they just wanted my money i also feel like I just wasted a whole years time and money I didn't really have just to be in the same spot I started in. 12. If I could put 0 stars, I would. Do not hire this woman. We hired her to help my husband with his child support case. You hire a lawyer for peace of mind. She is one of the pricier lawyers in town and she does not deliver. She doesn't listen to you. She doesn't return calls or emails. She can't remember conversations you've had. She waits until the last minute to prepare and to give you notice of court dates. You have to chase her around to get updates and information. Our case was concluded by a known crooked commissioner. She said we needed to appeal the decision and that we would win. We paid another $1500 for this. She should have won in the first place. She had to ask for another $900 after taking the retainer for the case she said she would win, and then another $1500 for the appeal she didn't read in time. We got nothing she promised, and because we had to pay her over $5000 we are now in a worse position than if we just accepted the unfair deal in the first place. Also kept pushing our court dates over because she is "so busy" and made the other party (who did nothing) $1000 in legal fees. As long as she gets paid she doesn't care about the client.
