After a six-year custody battle with domestic violence in play—Glenn Myers of Skyview Law charged me $25,000 to stabilize my financial and custody situation rather than drawing out the case for financial gain. Unfortunately, I left with very little. The modification to the protection order and child support process dragged on so long that I ended up initiating it myself. Because of the cost and lack of progress, I never even got a parenting plan submitted to court. I received threatening emails and overwhelming mail. I could not pay bills on time. When I explained my financial situation, I felt there was no real advocacy for me. They dragged the case on. I felt very bullied by this firm with my financial and custody desperate situation. I was not given a chance to present a parenting plan to the court that could benefit my child in this case. This left me feeling like I wasted money and time being taken advantage of. I’m now forced to represent myself and make less money than before due to the retainer costs this firm charged me and then dropped me after taking the money. This firm was not what I expected. I had to leave the firm after they charged me an extra $7000 due to a payment plan that was dropped after I paid the fee. They did nothing for me in this situation. I was left in ruins financially and mentally due to their lack of empathy toward my financial situation. This was my first and last experience with a family law firm, and they are not here to help you but to take your money and never give back. My ex’s attorney has been way better than them. I wish I never worked with them because they did not do anything to help me. 5. Beware, horrible billing and overcharge. Beware, I’m in financial ruin because of this company, they took me for everything they could ran up the bill in a short few months. Paid a massive retainer thinking I was set for a while.. when I say massive I mean twice what I’ve ever been asked for. And it only lasted a few months with no work being done. Then instead of telling me I ran out of my retainer they just sent me a 7000 dollar bill saying they went over and I owed them another 7k. I’m really disappointed in this company I had a good feeling in the beginning but it was wrong. Please stay away. 6. Skyview Law saved our family after six years. After a six-year, highly contentious custody battle, my husband sought counsel with Skyview Law. As an unmarried, out-of-state father, securing even standard visitation was an uphill fight. Jarrod applied thoughtful legal strategy and unwavering, timely persistence to navigate the court system on our behalf, ensuring the children’s safety and that every detail of our interests was clearly presented. Ultimately, my husband was awarded custody of his children. They now live out of state with us, and the mother’s visitation is restricted to our state of residence. She also has an active restraining order and is responsible for all travel expenses. Very polite keeps you informed understands your situation just let them know and they will work with you and your schedule and situation as well . They made everything so much smoother. They listened to my concerns and requests. They explained the process of my court case. Cyrus was an absolute pitbull in court! He put the opposing lawyer in her place and through facts at her fiction. Brenda did an amazing job on all the paperwork and helping proof read my declarations. She was a joy to work with. Realistic and Honest. Before reaching out to Mr. Hays, I had been actively trying to secure visitation with my children for two years. As an unmarried father living out of state, the process was especially difficult. What attracted me to Mr. Hays for legal guidance was his honesty when it comes to our chances of gaining custody. I gained a lot of knowledge and confidence from Mr. Hays as my legal counsel after three years. His legal strategy has been a success. We've made tremendous progress: we established visitation, obtained a restraining order to protect the children from their mother which has been successful, and ultimately secured custody of my children. They have been with me for a year and a half now living in Colorado. If you're a father looking to pursue visitation or custody, I recommend you work with Skyview Law. 12. Bad service. Rude staff. I was only interested in a consultation and receptionist interrupted me and then hung up on me before I could get a word in. Glad I wasn't paying for that kind of service! 13. Top-notch. Mr. Hays and his whole team have gone above and beyond for the custody case and false allegations i was faced with. From the initial free consult with Jarrod, to him doing whatever it took for my case to be heard fairly and to be represented by a legitimate lawyer like Jarrod Hays was truly an honor. Jarrod was straight to the point and no bs kind of man. Jarrod also communicates in a prompt and timely matter. Before I had retained Mr. Hays I was uncertain and scared, I now feel confident and secure with him as my legal representation. 14. Incompetent. Firm did nothing for me but run my bill up. Was not impressed with Jarod or Glenn Meyers. Hired another firm and he saved me almost 60k. 15. Perfect. Professional, compassionate, accurate, and outstanding communication. This whole team in Yakima are the best, from the front desk, to the paralegals and lawyers. Dealing with the divorce was horrific for me personally, but Shane and Zulema pulled me through it and helped me make it through this hard time in my life. Communications via Clio notifications was very precise, and the billing was prompt and easy to understand.
