Training dogs should be a side-effect of the delightful time you spend together. Reward your dog consistently, and they will improve. I want to make happy, loving families where dogs and their human members understand and respect each other. I've been working with dogs since 2000. I like positive dog training because it allows us to establish a healthy relationship. Positive-reinforcement-based methods are based on scientific learning theory. Still, there is also a part of me that thinks that the bond between a human and an animal can be very magical. I have been fortunate to learn a lot from positive trainers, workshops and seminars, and conferences. When Bob Bailey taught me how to clicker-train chickens and attending Pat Miller's Tennessee training academy, I had to smile. I always make sure to attend at least one conference each year, as every time I go, I learn something new about training dogs. It is quite encouraging to know that the dogs are still doing well. I am a Certified Pet Dog Trainer-Knowledge and Skills Assessed (CPDT-KSA), a nationally-recognized certification. The National Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers gave me this certification. I also submitted video clips of me training dogs and people.
