About this business

Matt Ferramosca is the proud owner and operator of the Off Leash K9 Training location in Monroe. Matt joined the OLK9 family after his dog, Annabel, a Pitbull/Husky mix, needed help. Annabel was smart and friendly and, naturally, an INSIDE dog. Still, when she went outside, she would do anything she could to play tag with the leash. Matt couldn't understand Annabel’s “hunting” desire. Annabel would chase anything that moved, including squirrels, rabbits, and even deer. She never thought twice about running away or running into traffic. After Annabel took the Advanced Obedience and Basic Obedience programs, she became a breed model. Annabel’s success inspired Matt to train at OLK9, where he saw the program improve not only dogs but also people. Matt loves to educate clients about his programs and how they can be customized to fit the needs of every client. It also helps establish a pack’s orderly hierarchy. The dog’s 7 years of experience in canine behavior modification. Advanced training in Off Leash K9 Training. Over 4,000 dogs trained and seen their progress. All behaviors and breeds at any point. Michael has a history in dog training. In his early years, he assisted in training the family dog. Michael never stopped learning about dog training after his six-month-old pup had an emergency. He spent his entire time learning about dog training and temperament. Michael joined OLK9 to satisfy his passions and start a new life. Michael is enthusiastic about aiding misunderstood dogs. No dog is good. My goal is to make dogs live a better and happy life and give peace of mind to owners through obedience.

Reviews Summary

The reviews indicate a positive experience with working with the trainers at Off Leash K-9 Training. Reviewers such as Micheal and Tana, proved to be a favorite among several clients. The review highlighted how each trainer managed to help calm and train an excitable dog and how the dog training board and train programme impacted dogs such as Malamutes aM german shepards and my 5 month old female bernedoodle "Mila". Malia, for example, helped the dog learned commands and was successful in addressing a variety of behavioral issues during the two-week session. The trainers were very thorough in keeping their owners up to date with daily photographs and videos. They provided follow-up assistance to ensure that the dogs and their owners mastered the training. In terms of results, the reviewers' dogs were more obedient, calmer, and better socialized in public places. I would recommend Ollk9 to everyone.

Taylor was great with our 5 month old Rhodesian Ridgeback German Shepard mix. Our pup was having trouble with pulling on walks, jumping on people, not coming when called, etc. She spent 2 weeks with Taylor and is such a well behaved puppy now. Taylor listened to our concerns and was sensitive to the fact that I was sad to send our pup away. Taylor sent updates with pictures and videos every day and answered questions as to what they worked on. The challenge is making sure we don't mess up the commands she learned. We highly recommend working with this group and Taylor in particular.
