Horrible and an absolute disgrace. Michael Dewitt does not care at all about his court appointed cases. He didn’t even show up in person and was instead on zoom because he could “do other things” while his client was just waiting. He didn’t even take the time to set up a way to communicate with his client in the court room and made a terrible excuse about how “complicated it is to set it up because he has to use a certain software” like my man come on it’s called being prepared to do your job. He provided the laziest “cross examination” I have ever seen. He even struggled to find the word adversarial while chuckling during “cross examination”, I was genuinely shocked. Most of the time he did not even have questions for the defendant while they lied several times under oath. Lastly, he assured his client they wouldn’t have to testify but then coerced her into revealing details of an open investigation which now immediately compromises the safety of a minor. I find this man absolutely disgusting and am horrified that he is allowed to practice law. Utterly shameful. DeWitt Law is great with family legal matters, as understood by me when I was faced with one. Mike and the entire team have been very professional in all interactions with the court and the other party, despite the difficulties. He took the time to explain the process and the laws so that I could comfortably understand the situation. My ideas and frustrations were considered in the course of his explanation so that I felt that my emotions and thoughts were not in vain. Patient, warm, and calm as the proceedings demanded, he was very understanding of the situation, giving me the comfort I needed. Additionally, the legal process was then followed until I achieved the desired objective. Mike’s vast experience was key to my success, including his support and compassion with regards to my traumatic situation. Knowingly, their ongoing legal support was extended even after my case was resolved, an act that really shows humanity beyond just professionalism. He helped me get full-time custody of my son when my ex-wife also hired an attorney and we had to go to trial. He's a great trial lawyer and is enthusiastic about his work and clients. This was a hard time for me, and I would have lost my son without Mike. The judge ruled that his mother gets to stay with him every two weekends. This is an accommodation that Mike fought for and ensured that we both get to be involved in the boy's life. I would highly recommend Mike as a lawyer as he keeps the bills down and provides quality service. He makes sure that he keeps everything low so that you aren’t hit with huge bills at the end. He is very compassionate about his job and clients. Mike is a great attorney who ensured that I retained my son after my ex-husband wanted 50/50 custody. Our son was in a challenging position as he stayed with her, but the judge ruled that the mother gets him every other weekend. Mike had been with me and my son all through, ensuring that we get the best settlement. This was the toughest court case, and Mike did a great job. I would highly recommend him as a great attorney. He also keeps the bills low as he ensures that everything is settled quickly. Mike provided a platform where all parties involved were easily accessible, thus the reason the court was able to decide quickly on the case. Though it was tough, the judge awarded me full custody of the child even though the mother was interested in taking care of the baby. I wanted to find an attorney to prepare some documents for marriage, and he was referred to me. Mr. Michael Dewitt was so rude to me from the word go and less available to attend to my queries regarding the processes involved. He was always on the phone or busy when I called and at one point, Samantha asked me to book an appointment which was about a month later. Once I reached him he never responded to my emails as the appointment could not push through as agreed. I had to wait for him to reach me. His conduct was very unprofessional, and I even doubted his ability to do the work I wanted him to do. I regretted hiring him because most of his employees were also very unprofessional. His firm should give guidelines to the employees on how to handle clients. I had a problem with my family law case, and I had to hire a lawyer who would represent me in court. The case was dealing with the child who had been given to me, but the mother wanted the child back. I sought the services of DeWitt Law, PLLC, and it was the best decision I ever made. The attorney took enough time to read and understand my case. He came to me and asked me what I wanted from him after which he gave his references on how to handle the case. The most critical point is that I was made to understand that the case would not consume much of my time because the attorney would handle it effectively. He did so, and the case took exactly two weeks to be ruled. I was satisfied with the services given to me and the way the attorney handled my case. The attorney also made sure that my case was ruled quickly because I was always busy, and I found that he had done the right thing by ensuring the case was ruled quickly. He was always following up and giving me directions on how to handle my case.
